Just finished up in the Vale of Shadows and picked up this sword from Kressie's sarcophagus - bastard sword of phasing. What *is* a phasing attack? I read the manual but it's not very informative.

It basically sends the opponent, upon a successful strike, halfway into another plane, causing additional damage and I think confusion. There's only a certain percentage for it to occur, but it's a great effect when it does occur.
