Default If you haven't read...

.. these books yet, I think you really should

This is so "down to earth fantasy", magic is there but almost untouchable, the heroes isn't much stronger than anyone else. The language is very rough, so I wouldn't recommend it to younger readers.

But I really like these books, just picked up the two latest today at our sience fiction book store so I haven't read them yet.

Anyone else got some good book tips?

Joe Abercrombie is awesome!

I would like to put in my own two cents if that is okay.

A little list of the fav.writers in my collection:

Brent Weeks: Night Angel triology is a must for anyone liking thieves, assasins and badass attitude!
Naomi Novik: Made a peculiar series about the english/french "napoleon" wars in the 1800's - Nelsons fleet and the english/french companies of DRAGONS as the aerial corps...yup you read it correctly - she plunked dragons into history and it works extremely well.
Richard A Knaak: WoW stories about Rhonin and Krasus are great!
We all love and adore the FR stuff in here so I don't have to mention R.A.Salvatore, Ed Greenwood and the tons of other writers in the FR realms eh?
My absolute favourite though has to be Patrick Rothfuss and his Kingkiller Triology: only the first two books are out but they're epic in any sense i can find.

Nice Sparhawk I will see if I can find the Night Angel triology since assasins are cool

The cover of the first book in the Kingkiller was awesome ( http://www.sfbok.se/asp/artikel.asp?VolumeID=18147 ), really epic feeling to it.

Picture a guy who thinks the term, Assassin is for the amateurs, he thinks of himself as a wetboy and he doesn't have targets, he has deaders!

Think of him as the kind of man who can topple kingdoms by applying poison to the correct spoon or decorating the middle of shoulders with a dagger.

Think Artemis Entreri and steoroids and with a nifty arsenal of epicness!
