Hehe nice and realistic view into the role-players world...
I actually attended that session, didn’t know I was being videotaped. Once in a while it happens that we have some pretty f... up sessions.
I am embarrassed now, it didn’t feel that silly during the session.

no way, that was my first session my husband(then he was just my BF) and his roomates played it 24/7 and when I moved in, we all played it, lol, I kept the coffee made, but that is basicly how my first game went

I can't hear it

I loaded it OK, but get just this weird beeping static sound when they talk. So I can watch it all just fine, but can't hear what they are saying. Am I missing a sound program needed for this?

It reminds me of some of my sessions. My players have a tendancy to try split up and all want to do their bit at the same time. And then one shouts one thing, one another. And then they scream at each other to shut up.

Lovely.

Ah...the memories...

I had similar guys in my group, too. Especially the guy who felt he had to "one-up" the DM. One day I had enough, and it nearly erupted into a fistfight (he broke off from the rest of the group, then stated that he cast teleport to be back in time for the fight that he would have had no reason to know was happening). I usually "cheated" on the party's behalf when things got way too hairy (reroll a random encounter that would have weakened them too much for the final battle, etc.). But the next time we played, I put the final battle with the evil warrior in an antimagic field (disabled that anal retentive guy's wizard), and didn't bother to cheat for them. He died, along with one of the other guys (collateral damage). Mr. Anal Retentive never attended another session, and to be honest after the first session without him no one missed him.

Good to see some ladies played/do play as well (I only had two ever join a group with us, for one semester in college). It meant something of a change in my approach (they liked the interaction, so I had to flesh out the NPCs more and do more talking in character), but was a good change of pace from the more hack-and-slash the rest of the group leaned towards.

you took out the hack and slash? that was what made it so fun for me, I still have my first charater, she died 12 times, and each time managed to be fully resurected, my second did not do so well but I prefer to play real games, not one made for a woman, lol. blame that on my brothers, and being pretty much the only girl in a family of boys

Woohoo! PnP! I'm having my first game this weekend, Sunday night...all night. In candlelight as well, which adds to the effect. I'm seriously looking forward, I've always played the games but never actually played Pen and Paper. I hope it's as good as everyone says!
