Whenever I play a game on my com, it starts to lag like hell after half an hour. Even if I only play AoE I with one opponent it hacks. Anyone know what to do?
My com: Pentium 4 1400 mhz, 128 mb ram, 20 gb hd

Istaron,

What do you have running in the backround, i.e. in your systray. Turn off any non-essential programs, that eat resources. For instanace a real player start center, or something llike that. That should help.

I suppose you are running WIN2K on you puter? Well win2k likes Ram, so I would suggest to go buy another 128 MB since P4 and win 2K eats that quick. That and buggy graphic card drivers might also be a problem. win2k had sofar had some issues with making the cards perform properly..

Just some small tips based on what i have read and heard from friends.. Good luck!

Ya, I forgott to mention I go with WinME (eats even more than 2K I think). I guess I go back to 95.
Well, thanks for the tip!

Well, thanks for the tip!

I have WinMe running, on an Athlon Amd 800, 128k It runs fine. If yuou're feeling froggy, you can change some system settings in my computer to tweak up the speed a little. Definitley try to close those non-essential progroms, that will help.
