Excellent. We look forward to seeing you around more, when you are frantically trying strategies to kill off wailing virgins and beholders with one character.

What solo character are you using, might I ask?

Currently still Finishing up with my Fighter/Mage/Cleric.I have already gone through the wailing virgins and undead on the island before my problems started and was about to head to TotLM. Mostly used summons, and the Sanctuary + Circle of bones strategy to get through the virgins.

I've yet to play solo, and maybe I should, when/if I ever get a surplus of gaming time. I gather that it is prime testing ground for cheesy tactics.

I'm curious: do you play in HoF mode?

I have!!! But for my first solo, I am sticking with Normal, although there are times I wish I did put it to HoF (Can't remember if I started my solo in HoF before the crash) My character is something like (Fighter 24/Mage 19/Cleric 25). If I had started HoF I think I would almost have been maxed out after doing all of HoW I could before heading to TotLM. Begining a level 20 something cleric just blows all those undead in ToTLM away. If I remember those undead guards in the palace used to be a tough battle, now they just blow apart by my mere presence.

Hardest battle so far in TotLM was the Rakshasa. They kept casting Dispel, removing sanctuary, and my other protections. The Rakishas could see through Sanctuary so the spell wasn't that useful only to keep the stalkers off me for a time. Plus all those invisible stalkers. I had to use a fleeing tactic with the last stand being in the kitchen.

The final battle in TotLM will be a cakewalk with this class or any high level cleric class. I do see some challenges making it to the final battle. My main weakness right now is I can only use blunt weapons. So I have a few weapons kept that do extra types of damage.

I don't remember my exact stats but some of them are Str(11), Dex(18), Con(18), Wis (20), Int (18), and charisma is like 4 or something really low and is even lower like 2 due to equipment. My Strength has been boosted to 19 by equipment.

Well the end of TotLM was not the cakewalk I thought it was as the undead heroes could not be turned. However it was still not bad, and easier than going through the game was a full party. The key to victory for my solo was to take out the hero that uses unlimited dispel magic on you.

Sanctuary to me is the most powerful spell in the game.

Now it is onto the big I.

The big I is now toast so I have completed my solo run through IWD. It was a blast.

I was a bit foolish going into this final battle with Big I as I went in without all my spells. I was out of sanctuary, and abi wilting spells. The Symbol of Hopelessness was very useful in dealing with the army, and after taking down the Big I and a few minions it was me and a zombie left to take out the soul gem. I was mirror imaged so I just ran in and went to work having depleted most of my spells. Anyway it was fun but the thing about solo's is it really does seem lonely so I think I prefer to go with duos or trios.

I think I will start a quartet in HoF next.
1) Paladin Male Human
2) Bard Female Human
3) Fighter/Thief Female Halfling
4) Fighter/Cleric Male Dwarf
