Heeyyy! Some of us already know that this is an ancient belief system, thank you very much, sir!

To answer your question, Mr. Diogenes, sir...I don't describe myself as 'neo-Pagan', but (as I've posted before), I am Wiccan. I have always had a strong bond with the 'natural world' and therefore worship in accordance with that and the realization that we MUST live in harmony with Nature.

I have never separated the human race and it's effects on the planet from "nature". As a philosophical concept, I believe we should accept that whatever effect we have on the future evolution of the Earth is only a small paragraph in the billion year long diary of our planets journey from creation to destruction.

I must have been hanging around the wrong nature worshipers then.....

The main problem I have with it is it's kind of like buying a CD and acting like the CD is the best thing in the world and disregarding the artist that made it.

As a Christian I believe in "the understanding on a spiritual level of the importance of natural ecology and environment."

I also think that "only such a deep change in prevalent world views will provide the will to make the changes we need to do regarding our approach to the environment. "

Wiccans don't have a monopoly on this thinking.

I decry magik/magic/witchcraft though as a perversion of the earths laws, of an individuals right to non-interferance from external forces, and the removal of hope when the future is described to them.
