A wish of blessings and happiness from your friends "across the sea" for a happy festival! Vive La France!
Although Bastille Day is not routinely recognized by all of the United States, my home state of Louisiana celebrates it in style. I was privileged to be in New Orleans during one Bastille Day celebration. After all the parades, ceremonies, and street events, we went up into the observation deck of the International Trade Mart and got to witness a spectacular fireworks show...from the top down! It was like standing in an ocean of color...talk about a memory that will remain with me forever! So Cheers! [This message has been edited by Sazerac (edited 07-14-2001).] |
