A wish of blessings and happiness from your friends "across the sea" for a happy festival! Vive La France!

Although Bastille Day is not routinely recognized by all of the United States, my home state of Louisiana celebrates it in style. I was privileged to be in New Orleans during one Bastille Day celebration. After all the parades, ceremonies, and street events, we went up into the observation deck of the International Trade Mart and got to witness a spectacular fireworks show...from the top down! It was like standing in an ocean of color...talk about a memory that will remain with me forever!

So Cheers!

HAPPYBASTILLEDAY

Was unfortunate last year when I arrived in Paris on July 15th

All I got to celebrate was a bunch of hungover Parisians

Don't quote me on this but it is the sort of like our 4th of July. It is the day that the Bastille prison was overrun during the French Revolution.
