The Grand Finale

The final battle against Idair and Madae is impossible. I have no idea what to do as they consatntly pertrify the party and summon loads of allies. Any suggustions? I have already tried it on a easier difficulty.

Holy Word, Stunning(Power Word or Symbol), tons of summons, buffs, focus on one at a time, banish summons, replace ALL cleric spells with heal, mass heal and holy word. Read the feedback carefully.

first thing first, immediately kill the summoner on the right side of the room. if not the place will be swarming with summons.

then concerntrate everyting you have on 1 of the twins. with what BoB just said.

I dont remember that being a very tough battle...IIRC, it ended somehow weird, somehow...prematurely

Well I can do the first part OK but the second stage is pretty tough. I can hardly hurt either of the two twins. Any suggestions?

Purify the pool, cast alot of dispells as your buffs will be wearing off now. After a few dispells cast mass haste and holy aura. Bash Madae with everyone, especially paladin(evil cleric demonkin for the avenger and fiendslayer and heretic's bane if available [img]smile.gif[/img] ). Do not try death spells on the twins directly!!!(banshee's Wail is OK, but Finger of Death is not, in some instances casting a death spell on a boss like the twins or Chakopek the Guardian or etc. can crash the game).

Yes...this is most ungratifying...casting protection spells and having magic resistance is key in the last two battles...Also, using the swords that the Slayer Knights of Xvim drop are very useful...IIRC, bludgeoning weapons are very ineffective in this battle as well...

If you have some anti magic field scroll with you, use it and the twins cannot harm you with magic.
