The Oasis
I got a PM from Nachtrafe to visit the above forum. I went there by way of the link in his/her sig. I clicked on some of the links in there, but there's nothing. No forum that I could see; no game info. There was an annoying back round, which really needs to be changed.
I thought I would mention it, since SW asked about it, in the "ground zero mosque" thread. |

Re: The Oasis
IMO, most forums offer about the same thing. A place to go and talk about issues, news, media (games, movies, books, etc.). Different forums will focus on specific topics with other topics just being sideline issues.
What it really breaks down to, for me, is the opportunity to interact with a different crowd of people. Also, if you find you just can't put up with some people's views and are unable to just ignore them (there are people that just can't ignore what they don't like, I have this issue at times) there are other options and places to go.

Re: The Oasis
Well, from what I can see now that I have looked, there's more drama which can be fun. But there seem to be quite a few pissed people there too. Guess it's like any other forum, you win some you lose some people. I did notice there are many names there I used to see on IW. Interesting. Who owns Oasis?

Re: The Oasis
I believe Cloudbringer is the owner.

P.S. There's drama in all human interaction, even at the office. It's not always on the surface, but it's always there.
