Don't try to deny it.

But who here's still involved in any Ye Olde Style pen and paper gaming? Or at least an online game with other people of some sort?

Wow, out of 12 votes so far, 11 people are into the whole online electronic roleplaying thing.

How come the roleplaying forum here is so dead, then? What are people missing? Do they play elsewhere?

In my case it isn't intent but convenience. I haven't the time or the people to organize a PnP session. I would love to, don't get me wrong, but I have lost contact with alot of my old nerd-friends and many of them just don't have the time anyways. So, I turn to the PC for my fix.

I just ran a DND adventure for my usual group last night. Am currently working on writing up a timetravelling GURPS campaign.

Ah, lucky bastard, it's been ages since I last got a good group together, I only know one decent roleplayer and one decent DM in real life... And they're the same person, and seeing as how I am the only other RP'er in the area who knows how to solve in-game situations without gunfire/massive implementation of fireballs, they refuse to ever DM.

It quickly gets difficult to run a game when half of your players insist on fighting the other half for barely any reason and their negotiations with NPC's take the form of threats and torture all of the time.

So yeah, we've got, like, 18 people who do online RP'ing of some sort, but the RP forum here is completely dead. What are people missing? Seriously, I wouldn't mind RP'ing a group if people threw up some ideas. Modern games? Planescape? Dark Sun? Let's hear it, dudes and dudettes. Some of us have an RP'ing addiction to satisfy.

we started a new 3.5 DnD game with me being a fighter which is refreshing after years of being a sorcerer

Sounds sadly familier, my current group is me (only person who knows how to dm), 2 people who rp really well, 1 ubermunchkin, and 2 uncontrollables. It can be hard at times lol
