None of my party members can identify found objects. It's difficult, because I can't use them during an adventure and lose lots of money to identify them at the armory. I read about ARTEFACT skill, but what's the quickest way to teach any of my members that skill?
Thank you! |

To ID objects you need the Ancient Lore trait PLUS the Artifacts skill. Both trait and skill can be learned most easily in the Priest Guild at guild level 3 (Mekdawa potion + 500 gp donation IIRC). When I play I usually spend my first couple 1000 of gp getting a character into the priest guild, making the donation to get to guild lvl 3, buying Ancient Lore and then buying artifacts skill. It saves a lot of money in the long run.

Until you can gather the skills to identify items yourself you can:
group all like items into one character's inventory so that all like items get identified at a guild for the cost of one identification. You can do that AND save your game just outside of town before you go into a shoppe to get things identified. Go in, pay the high price, see what you have (take notes!), RELOAD your game and ditch or sell the junk items and keep the good ones without paying for the identification. Wyv |
