I am in the stout mines, and I think i have thorougly explored the mine section from the left gate. I guess i am supposed to find something to fix the cart that'll open up the right gate back in the beginning. Can anybody give me a clue or two? So far, this is my LEAST favorite part of the game!! Thank you sooo much.

You will find an iron rod in the part of the mines where the graves are (on the floor). You may then use this on the floor by the 2nd car, this will repair the mine car.

Good lord, why did these designers put key items on the FLOOR in inconsequential areas?!! I thought the ring in the crypt was bad. I've been looking all over those stout mines for 4 hours now and haven't seen a damn thing. Guess I'll keep looking.
