Have you gone back to speak with Nolinor? This is the part where you'll need to go to the statue for the key. Once you get the key the doors should open for you.

If I remember correctly, the information on where the statue is should be in one of my previous posts.

do i just have the phloseper, or whatever its called in my inventory, or do i put it in a tomb, and the lich. i tried putting the thing in all the coffins, and the compartments around it and puting it on the ground and also tried kkilling the lich with the thing in my inventory

Simply having the phylactery in your inventory and walking fully into Jamoth's tomb should be sufficient. The phylactery will disappear from your inventory once you are inside this tomb. Once this happens rememebr to go back and speak with Nolinor, the ghost who told you about Terrikan.

Are you sure you are going into Jamoth's tomb?

You can tell by checking the statue in front of it. I believe it is the second tomb from the entrance on the right hand side of the Hall of Heroes.

Jamoth's tomb is the second or third from the bottom on the right hand side. Not sure which, but its one of those.
