Sorceror Dave, maybe you havent installed it correctly OR maybe you downloaded a patch that sets the rules to go up to level 50 but doesnt remove the xp cap. Dunno.

The patch that you have d/loaded is the patch that incorporates the THACO adjustments etc for characters that go between lv 20 and 50. This patch is not the XP cap remover. The cap remover allows people to go beyond the normal XP limit but after lv 20 the THACO etc is no longer adjusted. The cap remover can be found on this link - http://www.3ddownloads.com/?file_id=139818

No, Ertai, the thing is supposed to be both: a level 50 rules patch and an exp cap remover.
SD, what you could do to check if the files have gone correctly into your override folder is d/ling it again, but this time saving it seperately to your HDD then unzip it, and check if the files of the new d/l are of the same date as the corresponding ones in your override folder. What do you think, Ertai ?

If that fails, SD, you could post a new thread asking directly Accord to help as he is the guy who suggested it to me and has more experience with it.

I got the exp/lvl50 download ok, it ran auto, but the fighter attack did not - went to unzip and got error msg saying it could not creat bg2 override folder?
wahh, why meee...
and I'm not about to creat 2 versions of my override folder, either. does anyone know of a self-extracting and installing download for the romance patch? I have tried to download the one that will show up on your desktop as chicks.zip, but that was a clean disk install of windows ago, sooo...
