I was just wondering if there was any update on when the chat may be coming back. That was an awesome feature

I dunno. It was a nice feature to go to now and then. It got ruined awhile back by people saying nasty things on it about the Mods and Ziroc, and they were also able to boot people out of the chat who did not identify themselves (going on as a Guest). Guess they didn't want everyone seeing all that bad stuff they were saying on there? But it ended up Ziroc saw all of it, and the chat program was shut down.

Either way, I think enough time has gone by to where it could be used again without any troubles. Perhaps if enough people request it?

Of course on the flip side most of us use MSN, or Yahoo, and can chat to friends there. The new MSN6 is pretty cool as well

I think the chat room should be opened again it was pretty cool the time it was up and going, maybe Z should give it a "trail" periode if the Trolling or the nasty behaviour continue as before only shut it down again.

Here's what really happened with the chatroom.

At first, it was only an irc chatroom with no protection, and the first one to log in got admin status. Some people abused that, and Ziroc took it down temporarily.

He then bought a new version with a bot and more features, but that was back when we moved to escapegaming. He registered the chat software for escapegaming, and we then moved back to ironworks, so the software he bought is now useless.

I asked Ziroc if he had any plan to buy a new one soon, and he told me this was not a priority right now, and that he was more concerned with paying the website hosting.

I have considered saving up some money and sending it to Ziroc to pay the software, but right now I have some debts to pay, so it's going to take a while before I can help.

If you really want to see the chat room back soon then feel free to send Ziroc some mony for it. If enough people help we will have it back in no time.

From what I can remember some members got upset about the way IW is run and started to abuse Ziroc personally. I believe they were all banned though, it's doubtful if they will come back although one reregistered a couple of weeks ago under a new(ish) name. Z sent him packing once he remembered.

Question Mark

I never got to use the chats but i have wanting too. I always see that link at the top taunting me to click it and then I do and im dissappointed. And as for the reason it was shut down thats kind of stupid of people to say bad things of ziroc. That kind of shows no common sense or that you really want to be banned.

Hm...I have a lot of spare money (or will next week) but I don't think my parents will approve sending any through theor credit card...would it be possible to send it through other means? Like SplashPlastic or something?

And about the chatroom, I think its a case of waiting patiently. Like Luvian said (well, not directly) there are some money problems cropping up now and then, and seeing how hard Z works to keep this place going as it is now, I have no problem with waiting.
