Question: The enemies that "Run off in fear" do count for the battle exp points?
What sort of weapon is the best in Wizardry: Sword or axe? I just saw Antoine the Rapax and his best was the Bipennis (funny name) axe.

Sword vs Axe would depend on your profession and weapon profiency.

I use sword swingers but would definitely have a Fighter or a Ranger trained in the use of an Axe if a good enough one came along

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the "ones that got away" are still lurking somewhere ready to pounce on you. At least that's what has happened to my group in the past. Anyone else have this happen.

The best Axe does 4-28 points of damage, best sword does 5-40, best staff does 12-42. Most of the othe weapon types do average damage. (The Bipennis does only 2D7+3 or 5-17 points of damage by comparison.)

uh huh! won't ever see that in any other game, will ya? LOL. for once my priestess can get some punching power!

oh and about the "afraid/terrorized" baddies running away and then coming back, that happens a lot to me too. however, recently, i have had them go running and screaming in terror as fast as their little assorted feet, paws, hooves and tendrils will take them but then, they disappear completely!

LOL! must have something to do with running across a bunch of tired blondes first thing in the morning

The staff is the Cane of Corpus: 12-42 some nice attributes like 100% poison per succesfull hit and such. The cane is only usable by Feary ninjas.

Yeah I know....just trying not to spoilt the fun of those who had not played the game yet. Who knows...they might be making a Lizardman warrior high on staffs only to discover COC is usable only by a particular class and race.
