So what you are suggesting is that they spent months, maybe years planning this and just waited on the off chance that London was successful in their Olympic bid - riggghht!
My thoughts exactly. And they'd have called the attack off and moved it to Madrid or NY had one of those citys won the bid. The fact that the worlds eight most influential men are just a few hundred miles up the road from London was always the only feasible assesment.

Ignore this rubbish about the Olympics as nothing more than coincidental guys. If AQ wanted to upset that apple cart fpr the Brits they would have let things off before the vote and they would have turned off the voters. The Olympics are not part of this. This is Islamic extremism reminding the Western world and the G8 that they are not going away and that terror is their insidious method and that it is very hard to guard against.

I've given up on this Charlie - I guess we don't read enough thrillers.

Yeah, the Olympics was just a coincidence in the timing. It's either G8, about Brits in Iraq or something else.

I just watched Tony Blair standing with the other G8 leaders--WOW.. that was a very powerful moment, all of them together, united.

Terrorists are morons too, now instead of Global warming and African aid, Terrorism will be the main topic again..
Yes it's obvious that the real target for upset was G8, but what I was arguing was that the Olympic bid was just another string in the terrorist's bow. Sure, not a big one, but a little extra nonetheless.

A beacon of sanity - I hadn't thought of that Davros.

They are now saying 4 explosions - 3 tube trains and one bus.

The trains were between stations, so there were reports from both

I wasn't happy about it, I'm half expecting them to demolish my flat for the extra train lines but that's not for this thread.

Just checking in to let people who know me know that I'm ok, couldn't get into work so am at home watching the news.
