A little incentive. I personaly dont need incentive, I just cant afford it.
This idea was discussed before and caused a LOT of upset emotions on the board. Several members felt that it would be creating a "caste system" that created different status levels for different members. Although I personally saw no problem with it, there were a LOT of hurt feelings over the mere suggestion of such a thing. Just discussing the idea caused a lot more problems than it was worth.

I just look upon donating money every quarter as like paying for a game. I spend more time on here than I do with some games so it makes sense for me to donate. As for the "gold membership" I remember the discussion well and we lost a valuable member because of the heat created. I would not like it and if it did come in I would ask Ziroc not to put me down as a *special member* I contribute what I can when I can. Not everyone else can and that’s OK with me. I would hate to create a position where some members where seen as superior or above others. If I create a problem then some new or younger members should feel equal enough to complain and get me a +5 choc smack down and not feel intimidated that because I contribute I have a privilege.

The banner add that Ziroc put up was clicked on twice by myself. I was going to make a post urging others to click on it but thought twice about it. Ziroc is obviously not comfortable with splaying adds everywhere and it also must be difficult to ask for money "cap in hand" every month. The answer lays in lots of people making very small contributions.

Ahm, is there a possibility to donate from Austria?
If yes, which service should I use (didn't find any link or something on this page)?

I have meant to ask this...

How does PayPal work? Do you create an account and then transfer money to it from an ordinary bank account or directly from a credit card? Are there any risks involved?

For paypal, you sign up with them, give them your banking info and then they electronically transfer the amount to the account of the person you're sending it to. You do have to do a little work to set up the account, but after that I think it works fairly simply.

Z, I sent what I could last month and this month is mucho tight for all the reasons, Wellard mentioned plus a few... My fiancee was sick and his insurance doesn't start til two weeks from now, so we had out of pocket doctor's bills and my wedding dress was twice as expensive as I expected it to be and we're trying to figure out how to cover that and Christmas for a few family members (we've told some family and friends we just can't do gifts for them this year, already ) so I can't send anything this month, but next chance I get, if IW is with us, I'll send what I can.
