That's a sharp reply.
I don't think we should be making fun of such a cutting issue. There a many incisive points that can be made with out the use of poor knife jokes.

Hmm, I see your point, maybe combing your hair the other way might cover it.
Poor knife jokes don't cut no ice true enough, if anyone knows a good knife joke maybe they'd be willing to take a stab at it....I'm keen to hear em.
Well it hasn't worked, the situation is still on a knife-edge, and, unless your a cut above the rest, you're going to whittled down to size.

To quote the elegant phrasing of Lord Denning, "even an unwanted kiss can be a battery."

(In the UK common assault is putting someone in fear of an immediate battery, with common battery being the application of unwanted or unlawful force, hence the situation above would in english law be a battery, which is form of asault , why did i start to try to explain why the mention was of battery instead if assault )

Lord Denning LOL.
One of my best mates still has a letter from Lord Denning on his toilet wall, I've read it. My pal (serving 20 years on Cat A dispersal) was on numerous occasions beaten to a pulp by prison officers. Whilst in the block or on a "lie down" he was so severely beaten he couldn't get up to leave the cell....he was given more time in solitary and more beatings for failure to comply with the governors orders...ie going back to his own cell, no medical treatment was ever forthcoming. His wife, on numerous visits up and down the country (dispersal means you're too dangerous to stay in one prison for any length of time, so they disperse you to cat A prisons country wide) was often told "He doesn't want to see you", she obviously knew this was a lie but had no option but to leave, they didn't see each other for a long long time.

Fearing for Micks life and with the intelligence from other released prisoners, at her wits end she wrote to lord Denning.

His reply was not in keeping with the gravity of the situation, in fact it was a jovial letter, it concluded with him inviting her to the House of Lords for afternoon tea.

Mick was returned to the streets after 14 years with no rehabilitation, no idea how the world had changed and a heroin addict.

I'm happy to say Mick hasn't re-offended, works hard whenever he can and is trying to get off drugs.

Lord Denning can kiss my arse.

P.S.

I'd so much like to tell Black Micks Story in full, it'd make a film to rival that of people like Jimmy Boyle etc. I'd love the English people to REALLY know what goes on in maximum security prisons in England.
