how to fool nessie (spoiler)

Hi everyone!

Maybe you know this already, but i didn't - just found out how to get excaliber without killing nessie [img]smile.gif[/img] I tried, but even with magic screen and elemental shield, her earthquake was devastating (spells were level 6-7, but my party only at levels 12-13). But i was there, took even Vi with me, so i had to have some reward for the underwater-tour.
I had chameleon (maybe not neccesary?) - coming from mount gigas i turned right, run to where the id-tags are lying. Combat-run to the next small boulder. Then start combat, walk just round the corner and cast all shields at max. It takes three rounds to reach the cave with the chest, unfortunately my two faeries didn't make it

You got to take care not to get to close to nessie while running - one time she just swallowed my ranger! And no chance to get her back, without killing nessie.
Okay, some might say excaliber isn't that great, but i love it for my fighters, its perfect for hogars, crocodiles and anything big and bulky.

you get to that spot from the other end too, if you start at Bayjin.

There's a much better way, no combat at all. Stay behind the rocks there and start combat. She'll engage, but she can't get to you, so she'll eventually retreat and break off combat, ending up over by the Gigas tunnel. Now run over to DJL.
