Well then, I guess the conspiracy-mongering Italians are correct Too bad we all can't just enjoy the football and take our lumps when we lose.

Ho ho ho, 2 giants down, a few more to go

Hehe this is what one of the commentators here said after England lost 2-1 to France:

"Oh well, England will just have to beat France in the final"

at the time I laughed but he COULD maybe just be right

Fair possibility. Holland lost their opener in '88 against the Russians with 1-0, and met them again in the finals, beating them 2-0.

Speaking of the italian media, did you all see the clips of the player (Vieri, wasn't it?) who ripped into them in a post-game interview? That was priceless. I like to see people speak their minds.

Well...I don't see England beating Portugal honestly.
And then I don't see anyone beating France anyway (*grin*).

Yes I enjoyed it very much Vask.

Aerich, good thing you guys still have a team competing for the World Cup... at least in qualifying. I mean, no soccer team here whatsoever... perhaps in the near future... we have a great college soccer team who already has been competing on foreign soil and winning. So perhaps the future is bright.

Wow Italy's gone...
