How do you use this damn thing? I have my bard equipped with it and it doesn't seem to work when I try to use it on my party. Am I missing something? It is ridiculously frustrating!
Also, it says in the description that trolls are a constant problem for the maker of the wand. Does that mean using it will cause trolls to gravitate towards my ladies? Cary

That wand can only be used by bards and mages and can only cast the spells on the user.
To use it, just equip it in one of the quick-slots using your character's inventory screen. Then select the character in the main-screen and right-click on the wand to choose the desired spell (armor or shield). After you chose the spell just left-click on the wand to cast the effect on the user. Hope this helps. Edit: And the thing with the trolls is just a bit of backstory to the wand. Apparently trolls are rather stubborn and bashed the wand's user so many times that they got enough hits in to kill him/her even with the protective spell effects of the wand. Yep, Kaelas got it all.
It's a nice wand to keep around. It saves your mage from needing to memorize those spells, and it can be very good for a multiclass F/M in the early going. I just wish you could cast the spells from the wand on other characters - a tank with Shield would be nice against all the spellcasters with Magic Missile.
