You should patch. The patches brings new life to DarkStone ( they also takes care of some minor problems and bugs ). You will be able to download new skins to use or you can make some yourself. You'll also be able to play all the great custom quests ( made with QuestEditor ).

Go for it and enjoy this great game!

Skipper.

I would patch but like I said before. Read the readme so you know what has changed.

Stick with the patches but skinning can be a real nightmare (BTW Adam, if you want a game some time let me know and I'll reinstall it and backup all of my old characters).

With the install of sp 1.04 you have the ability to make a skins folder under you darkstone directory and put "skins" in it. This lets you make your character look how you want him to. To see some skins and download them too go to....
http://www.delphinesoft.com/darkston...sh/index2.html

Click on skins on the left. Then click on the banner that says skin gallery. I hope this helps.

Yes, I always thought that the Dark Stone Warriors looked pathetic without beards.

There are actually three or four other good skin sites but it's been so long since I visited them that I can't remember the adresses, maybe I'll look 'em up some time for you.
