Note: You are thinking of Bavarians. Your average German from, for instance, Schleswig - Holstein or Mecklenburg- Vorpommern will, even if he drinks more beer and eats more pretzels than your average American, not so much that it is very remarkable. I can't believe that you can just forget us vikings, we were the masters of Europe, if we had cared to conquer it that is, we only judged it fit to be raided and plundered, not lived in, all fled as our warriors charged towards them and our name made the rest of Europe quiver in terror.
