at the start of the game i killed galian and his men in the abandoned house, is this going to effect me in the future?

Only slightly, if you didnt loot his body for a set of lockpicks, where you had 2 options to do something later on, you will now only have 1. The outcome will be the same. If you had talked to him, his men would have killed him anyways and then attacked you.
