When I'm not on the computer I am either on campus getting my college education or hanging out with my girlfriend. I love watching movies. Also, recently I seemed to have a growing obsession with watching the discovery channel Animal Planet. I watch it every chance I get. When I can get away from media sources I like to hike and go biking. Whenever the weather permits I also like to swim. I also like music, anything except for rap, country and this current teenie-boper pop music that for some reason is so popular.

When I can sneak away from work, I like to go clubbing with friends, go paintballing, read a book, or go to the gym. Unfortunately, the days seem to be getting shorter and I don't have time for much of that anymore.

Life is short, drink more.
I drink and listen to music at extremely unhealthy volumes...

I'm with Reeka & Lillie... I don't have time to do many of the things I like to do anymore. Plus I love my job but hate to go to work. That being said, what my time fills up with (after work) are things like:
Driving kids to & from activities (tho dh does that even more than I do)
Playing games with my younger 2 boys - trivial pursuit, backgammon, etc
Reading!!!
Playing CRPGs, chatting on mIRC, or ICQ, or browsing the net
Lately I've been spending an inordinate amount of time here
Watching Movies
I try to exercise daily(walking), but only seem to manage three days a week.
And this weekend I'm trying to 'run away' with my husband, kid-free. We'll see if we get to.

Bilqis,

Our runaway weekend was this last weekend. We had a wonderful time. Got a Cabin in the Smokeys with a hot Tub and a jaccuzzi. Cooked out Friday night. Went out to eat for breakfest and dinner, snuggled up and watched movies the whole weekend. Also drank mass quantities of ritas and coolers. Got to get away from the kids at least once a year. Been doing this since we got married 12 years ago. Of course when we didn't have kids we got to do it a whole lot more!

Good question. Hmmm (ponders a minute) In spring/summer/fall, I putter about my yard. Weeding is a fulltime job and I only do it half the time. Plan what to plant in the yard. It's been almost four years and I started with plain old heavy red clay mud. Took two years for the grass to grow in and now I'm slowly and methodically removing it to put in trees, shrubs and perennials. Studying a bit of garden design and learning about native plants.

Learning about house repairs- mainly from necessity. Visiting with friends/family, most of whom are out of state so it's weekends here or there all summer. Lots of barbecues and sitting around chatting with friends and family.

A little reading. Church stuff- parties for the Sunday School kids, Special Events committee (things like annual picnic, which is my baby). Some craft work, but not much lately. Watching television. Occasional show at local theaters. Playing at html for a web page. Day trips in summer, just to get away from home a bit. Usually to a museum of some sort or tourist attraction.

I agree wholeheartedly Sir Taliesin! The trick is to find someone to watch the kids so we can get away. Dh and I haven't been away together in I don't know how long! But it does look like it's going to work out for this weekend! YAY!!

We won't be doing anything quite as romantic as you did. We are just going to Minneapolis to enjoy real city entertainment for a change. (I hate living in the middle of nowhere! ) AND to get away from the kids for a bit.
