I was visiting a friend last night, and since I'd had a couple of drinks decided not to drive on crashed at her place instead. I get up this morning, and low and behold my Pantera has been stolen!
What really chokes me is I'd just finished the resto on it last week, and hadn't had it appraised yet, so the insurance isn't likely to cover the cars true value. I guess a car alarm, and a club just don't work as well as I thought they would.

Oh man! What a bummer. Sorry man. Did you file a report? Hopefully the cops will find it. BTW, what kind of Pantera was it? I love those cars.

It was a 71, full aluminum block 351, bored and stroked to 405, estimated at 700HP at the flywheel. Like I said, I just finished the resto on it, and this was my third time driving it since completion. I filed a report, but as an ex police officer and can pretty much guarantee that it's gone. It was probably loaded on a flatdeck or towed somehow, and is probably on it's way overseas by now.

That royally bites. Wish I knew exactly how much that bites. I've never seen a Pantera. In real life or otherwise.

Although I proclaim to know everything about European & Japanese cars (normal and sports) I know jack about American Muscle cars (with 700BHP I assume its a muscle car lmao) so could you post a picture?
Any engine pictures would be cool too (plans or otherwise - I'm an engineer) Really sorry about the theft mate, I know it blows.

so sorry for you dude
I caught a guy breaking into my car once, only had it a week and it was my first carand even though it was a piece of crap '86 ford laser my blood was fully boiling. It was the middle of the night and I woke up to the sound of glass breaking. I ran downstairs and attacked the bastard, wearing nothing but my boxers I laid into him, knocking him backwards, he then took off down the street and left me with glass in my feet, a smashed car window and I wasn't able to sleep properly for the next month or so Hope they find the guy and rip him a new one...

Oh Animal, that's awful! I know you put a lot of work into the car. I sure hope they do get it back for you!
