Hey, I'll make this fast (NWN):

1. What does Solomon's Ring do?

2. What does a "Armor check penalty" mean? Mine is -17 right now, and that doesn't sound so good.

1. You will find out rather quickly. It is an item for the game, not the character.

2. Armor check penalty is a modifier you get to certain skills because of your armor you are wearing. Like hide, move silently etc. Check the manual for complete list of skills that are subject to this.

You need to find the manaul. It has your cd key in it. I would also print out your nwncdkey.ini file to be on the safe side. Also check out your C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\docs directory and see if there is a pdf file in there. I have a manual but just not sure if I downloaded it from somewhere.

I tried to open the manual with Acrobat Reader, but it said "There was an error opening this document. This viewer cannot decrypt this document". Do you think it's because of my version of Acrobat Reader- mine is 4.0?

Oh, by the way, right now I'm downloading version 5.5, so, do you know if that will fix it?- the site said "get Arcobat Reader 5.0 here"- so, I figured I needed something over 5.0, rather than my 4.0- Will this help? (I'm gonna be downloading for 55 minutes, LOL

It is a free download. Go to http://www.adobe.com and click on "Get adobe reader" icon on the left side center. The new version is 6. I hope that fixes it for you.
