Problem changing my Elf from Paladin to Samurai??

I had 3 of my characters as Paladins & wanted to switch them to Samurai to get the Suncraft spells. I went to the Wizard Guild & was told about the baton. Fine I already had my human Paladin changed to Samurai & knew the location on the left side of the Ruins in the Samurai graveyard. All 3 of my Paladins: Lizzord, Whiskah & Elf went. I got the Whiskah in the lead & the Spirit of the Samurai appears . I get the baton & change my Whiskah to Samurai. No problem.. Same with the Lizzord. Since only once Spirit appeared I set out again from Ishad N'Ha (left my Whiskah at the Holiday Inn) & got him converted too. When I try to do the same solo with my Elf (who by the way already has Suncraft from a previous role as a Wizard) what happens -- she's STOOD UP. The spirit of the samurai is a no-show at his own execution. Thinking a duo might work I go back to the Wizard guild, cancel the Samurai role & pick up my Lizzord from his snooze at the Inn. Needless to say, he's grumbling about the lack of sleep. We head over to Bushhead's where my Elf kindly pays ANOTHER 750 to get the Samurai role training again. We head out to the graveyard & only Worgurs show up. Stood up again even with her buddy along. AND SO.. my question is Why is the spirit world unfriendly to my elf. Why doesn't the Spirit of the Samurai appear for her. Is it a patch bug?? Is it too many Spirits in one evening??

Hmmm... sounds like bug... not sure... but just curious... does your elf have enough stats for Samurai?... might be dumb question but I am not sure even if stats are not high enough if you get the training or not... dunno been a long while since dealing with class changes... and one more thing... are you playing with the patch?... cuz if not then are you leaving too soon?...

ARGGHHH!!! I lost my post on a timeout. Lessee what I tried to say...

I think I said it was a bummer, and not patch-related AFAIK. I think I also suggested switching to another class (in training), and then switching back to samurai. That might help.

And I think I suggested it might be possible to hack a baton.

And there might be another option, if those don't work. But I'll hold off on that one for now... [img]smile.gif[/img]

Thx for suggestions. I solved it myself by going to a previous game getting my Whiskah in main spot when Spirit of Samurai appeared & Baton was retrieved we gave it to the poor elf who then became a Samurai at Bush's place. Then we went back out & did the same thing twice more with Whiskah in lead & everything worked out fine. I'm glad I followed Bungleau's advice about saving:
Save Early, Save Often
Save Before, Save After
RIGHT ON!!
