I agree we didn't play very well tonight, but if Sweden can't even beat us on an off day, then you might as well completely quit all together.

Don't pat yourself on the shoulder, sooner or later Satan will come to collect the souls of the Dutch team. After all, it WAS part of the bargain.

We've paid our debt to satan back in full and then some. Or did you forget that we went out after penalties in 1992 against Denmark, in 1996 against France, in 1998 against Brazil, and in 2000 against Italy ? I'd say satan owed us this one.

We were lucky though, especially with the shots of both Ljungberg (I think) and Larson who hit the bar and the post. Still, it was justice that the Dutch won in the end; they were more aggressive, had more possession, and van der Sar's unlucky own goal in the penalty series was just too much

heheh... people are going nuts overhere, cars are honking constantly and there's fireworks everywhere, it's if they're already champions.

Bah.. how can people be so happy about such a meager score? Their incompetence is costing me my leading position in our soccer poll.. and I need new shoes

Shut up partypooper, it's the result that matters, not the way it's accomplished.

This was the most even game of the tournament. I think we deserved a win more than Holland because we had the most dangerous chances and the best offense despite less possession, but a tie after 120 minutes was still a perfectly fair result. Didn't watch the penalty shootout due to being too much of a bloody nervous wreck, but those things always are and always have been akin to deciding a winner with a few games of rock, scissor and paper.

So, congrats to Holland for your advancement, but I don't consider us losers for not going through.
