I took two pictures. I figured I might use that camera for once.

I took them without really aiming and my camera isn't really made to zoom very far, so they are not that good. I don't think anyone died, I saw no body...

I've just read that the life expectancy of someone who drives a motorcycle as their primary means of transportation (to work, &tc.) in southern California is slightly under five months...

Wow... Impressive shots, Luvian, even from a "common" camera.

I'd hate to have to explain that one...

Quote:
"Why are you home late? Where's the bike?"

"Ermmmmm...."

And while I don't know about the driver's life expectancy, Aleph_null1, I can pass along a friend's experience about the life expectancy of a laptop which falls off said motorcycle in California at 80 MPH...

Im just thinking that the guy in the background looks rather casual considering the bike could explode any second (assuming it hadn't already)

Well... as you can see in the second pic, people kept circlating around it. The police car was just getting there in the second one.

I don't know how they could do it. I was far away and still wary of exposions.

It probably didn't explode, or at least nothing spectacular.

I was typing and heard a small bang. I kept typing until I could smell smoke and went out to see that.

I hope no one was hurt, I hate to see someone mess up a perfectly good scooter that way, and I do feel sorry for the guy, those things arent cheap anymore.

as for the life expectancy, 5 months sounds a little on the short side but then if they insist on riding a crotch rocket (which seems to be way to popular) then its really hard to walk away at 100+ that alot of them like to go.

What happen? A bike can't just be consumed by flames by itself.
