Working hard
After long tribulations I have a new PC.
Unfortunately Windows Vista does not seem to like NWN. I will get back into Undermountain but it may take some time. |

Re: Working hard
I had done some poking around before I got this rig finished, and stayed away from Vista for it's incompatability issues. I'm sure they'll patch it out, eventually though.

Re: Working hard
Grey, best thing you can do is format, and throw Vista away. no one uses it, and it won't play 89% of games from 2005 and back.
Install XP, get it all set up, and all will be well.

Re: Working hard
I can see now why Vista has the reputation it does!
Never mind. After a few kicks and much profanity it finally decided to play NWN for me and allow me into Undermountain - though it is still a bit temperamental about it. I thought I ought to mention a small problem I had with the CEP as well just in case others come across it too. I downloaded the latest version (v2 I think it is) but was told when I tried to get into Undermountain that I was missing essential CEP files. In the end I downloaded version 1.52, which does have those files, as well as v2 (bit of overkill there) and had no further difficulty. |

Re: Working hard
Is that because the 1.52 CEP version isn't updated for v1.68? The little patch should take care of that.
Are you in Undermountain at the moment? I just got it all installed and romped around level 1 and had forgotten how much fun EfU was - so much better than NwN2! |

Re: Working hard
CEP 2 isn't backwards compatible with the rest of CEP. They had to decide between backwards compatibility, and compatibility with 1.68 and beyond from BioWare. They opted for forwards instead.
