Aw, that's bad to hear. I listened to his show occassionally - good stuff.

He actually went to school in my good ol' hometown of Shrewsbury.

Very sad news, one of the most influential persons in the world of radio has died. Never really had the chance to listen to his radio show directly, but there have been too many Peel Sessions to count that I've enjoyed over the years... May he rest in peace.

And I'll make sure to play the Undertones' Teenage Kicks tonight in his honour.
