My brother finished BG 1 with a Fighter dual classed into a Necromancer. When he went into BG2 with that character, his necromancer class turned into mage? WHY??? And when I transfered my thief, I had the option to choose a kit. I chose Assassin but still he was just a thief. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?????????!!!!!!!

I dont use kits meself - I havent exhausted nywhere near the possibiliteis of the pure classes yet - but i don know you cant dual into a specialiast mage, unless your a gnome in which case you can dual to an illusionist.

I have no idea about the thief thing.

Was this Dual class a Necro/Fighter previousely and now is a Mage/Fighter? I don't quite follow...My Invoker (no dual) stayed as he was, and I think BG2 has Dual as down to the base classes, because a Necromancer is like a specialist mage eh? Don't know about the thief one.

I wonder why they did that in BG2 cause in BG1 you could dual class into specialist wizard classes (Imoen coulda been an invoker instead of mage but oh well )
