I'm 23 and still a Virgin, and proud of it!

I think there is too much peer pressure on sex. Personally I don't believe in sex just for the fun of it. To me, sex is more an emotional and even spiritual experience than just physical pleasure. I am waiting for the right person, someone I would be willing to spend all my life with.

There is nothing to be ashamed of. I had to turn down lots of girls, and most of them were able to understand and respect me. Sure, there is the occasional person who think it's funny, but those are immature if they can't respect other people's opinion, so I simply ignore them.

You aren't alone. There are alot of people that have not always had the choice to have sex or not when they wanted to or not and with whom they wanted to or not.

I was sixteen and had been going with the girl for 6 months. It was a first for both of us. I can tell you exactly where it was, her name, physical discription, what record was on the stereo, and what song was playing. We were together for 3 years, until her parents forbade her to see me again. Romeo and Juliet was not an option. That was over 30 years ago and it is still an important and cherished memory.
