I got the game when it came out and I really like it, it's way better than the first one.

There's actually a story in this one, and there are dialogs with dialogs choices. Your npcs can have banters, you can get pets and feed them to make them grow. They also added class specific skills so your classes are a lot more fun than before.

Just got it today, installing it as I type.

It looks like the multiplayer may be fun, you can play the entire campaign in MP. My two boys are chomping at the bit to get a 4 player game going with my wife and I.

The family that slaughters orcs together... well... they... uhh...
Nevermind.

Is it mostly hack and slash? Is the combat system similar to BG2 or Diablo?

I would download the demo, but the 1.5 gig demo kinda turns me off...

Well it's got some multiplayer bugs that are frustrating. Initially it didn't like my linksys broadband router (wrt54gs), so I updated the bios of the router and made some configuration changes, then it started working on my 2 AthlonXP systems (a 1700 and a 2400) but it still refuses to connect from my Athlon 64 system, I think it may have a problem with the nforce network hardware or drivers.

I have not yet even tried it on my Pentium M laptop. In the meantime the boys are playing Single player and both say it's a barrel of fun.

Awesome game. Better than DSI in every aspect.

In my opinion, this is the best hack & slash RPG since Diablo II. Again, in my opinion, the reason is that it's taken great elements from that legendary game that haven't been taken advantage of so well - elements such as the item system (sets, unique and rare items, reagent implanting) and the skill tree system. Also, the concept of Powers adds a lot to the game.

It'd be nice if DSII had skill synergies too, which is a pretty recent addition in Diablo II.

Yeah, I love and praise Diablo II, so what?
