Human Ranger, but I finished the game the first time with a Human Sorcerer.

When I first got BG2 my BG1 saves were long gone, so I had to make a new character. And if I remember correctly my first BG2 character was a kensai.

Human Beserker, I believe. Or maybe it was Dwarf Beserker.... I dunno, it was so long ago.

Dwarf F/T imported. Wanted 20 CON and regeneration. Much less useful in BGII than BG.

The first character i played in BGII, was the commonly chosen, berserker, but i played half-orc.

@ Marty4 - I've played a paladin duel weilding katana's and tbh, he rocked. Although, he did have decent gear, and you said yours didn't, so that could be why. *stands aside and lets the thread get back on topic*

When I first got the game, I played Swashbuckler.
I have always played thief in most rpg games.
