Happy Eating in Games - Maybe its the Holidays

I dunno, got into a humorous conversation the other day with Cloudy, Nachtrafe and Saz. I'm still laughing about it, so that's why I'm posting about it now. I'm also partially buzzed from beer and tired from working my butt off at my new job so there!

Anyway, so like, I really hate games where you have to eat. Don't you? Oh crap I need to find an apple or I'm gonna die! Blah. Now, way back when, in Lands of Lore III, they at least gave you these wild boars that, when killed, would turn into perfectly shaped hams LOL. Wow how convenient and neat! So you got the XP for killing the boar and a free meal! Yay!

This led to me thinking about what eating would be like in, say, Might and Magic. You'd probably have to "learn ham" LOL.

This then led me to think about....what if there were ham spells eh?

You could have Honey Ham spell - like a charm spell cause it's so sweet LOL

You could have a Spiral Ham spell - similar to a whirlwind attack spell

Saz cracked me up replying how there could be a Cured Ham spell - which would be the equivalent of a heal spell! Heee!

I was thinking, Sliced Ham could be an attack maneuver...

Gosh it could go on and on, what do you guys think?

Winking Re: Eating in Games - Maybe its the Holidays

You realize it's just a short step to spiced ham, don't you? Or ....

In the meantime, there's that salted ham spell... that'd be a pain spell, of course, because what happens when you put salt in a wound? Yeah, I thought so... and the ham quiche spell... that'd be a camouflage-type illusion, so you don't know it's there.

I'm getting hungry now... time to cast summon Ham-ster again...

*edit* Hey, new avatar! Looks kind of like a ham waiting to be served... if you squint hard and drink lots o' beer first...

I know what you mean. In Guild wars we ahve Pumpkin cookies, Candy Corn, Candy apples, Birthday cupcakes, honeycomb that all gives our characters some type of buff.

They all contribute to a "Sweet toot" title on your character.

There is also booze in the game to contribute to a Drunken Ale Hound title.

ROTFL! Yes, that was a hilarious conversation!

We hammed it up good... *SNICKER*

How about a "ham and cheese" spell - works like cloudkill....best on dragons..... from a distance...... before they see you.....

I hate how in MMORPGs (Ultima Online + WoW are 2 i've played), you spend endless hours leveling your cooking skills only to still make yourself a microwave pizza for dinner back in reality.
