What is the deal with this? It seems I keep running into problems all the time in this game. I know what he means by the "walking tree", but that "walking tree" doesn't have any seeds. How exactly do you get the seeds for the Wizard Guild quest? And while I'm here, where is the Monk's Ward?

The "Walking Trees" he's talking about are the Bark Horrors found on the Isle of Sands, not Oakenmir. You can get 1 seed from Oakenmir, but you have to pickpocket him for it, and it's VERY difficult. I recommend waiting until the Isle of Sands.

The Monk's Ward is on the Isle of Sands, too.

Ah, and how much longer is the Isle of Sands from right after Anephas's Shrine and before the Sunken City?

You can get to the Isle of Sands immediately if you've finished the Shrine of Anephas. Go out the back exit, kill Bloodbeard and his crew, grab their ship, and sail down the west coast. Look for an entrance on the far west side of the Lost Sea.

Make sure you get the quest for killing the Hydra from the Town Hall first! It's worth 10,000 XP and 10,000 GP. You have to kill the 3-headed hydra to get into the Isle of Sands. (See picture below)

Good luck!

P.S. The Red Dragon is not a part of this quest. He just happened to show up as well when I played it.

The back exit is not far from where you raise Anephas. If you haven't done that - then the back exit isn't open. The room is easy to identify - it is in complete ruins - columns on the floor, etc. The door is on the far side and only opens after raising and talking to Anephas.

Great picture, Saz!!!

As you can by my other post, I found the Lost Sea and Isle of Sands. I even saw that (Gwill? goat-lady) on the top of the pyramid. I got a good shot of a "water raptor" also known as a "Speedo" (did I spell that right? a jet-ski). I didn't find the Monk's Ward, but I killed a few two headed giants, a few bird-freaks, and some giant scorpions. Not to mention the Longtooth King, and later the Mother of Crabs. I killed that Mermaid-doppleganger. I also found one of the Tomes of the Zenmaster. Now what do I do with these gold nuggets? Sell them? Or give them to that pirate?

I found the seed giving trees at the pyramid, but was able to get only 5 seeds. To get the sixth seed and to make some exp to level my "Zenmaster to be" up, so he could reach sorcery 12, I decided to wack Oakenmir. He not only gave me a seed, but exp for more than 7 levels (1.7 million odd for others & nearly 1.9 million for my Elf) - he is a tough tree and needed around 2 dozen ...storms, but it was worth it for 7 levels at 250,000 exp a pop.

Nanobyte: The Monk's Ward is on the far eastern side of the Isle of Sands, in a forested clearing. Look for a chest.
