I've already played through IWD before, also did Heart of Winter as a stand-alone, but now I want to play through IWD, HoW and Trials of the Luremaster. Now my question is... The game still ends when you do the normal ending of the original game, right? So when in the IWD storyline should I take a break from the main story and start doing the HoW quests? And when in HoW should I take a break from that storyline in order to play TotL?

They way it was suggested to me was play thru icewinddale and prior to using the sixbadges to confront ol poquelion go to Kaldahar and go thru HOW , on exposing the fraud barbarian leader , ol hjoldaer tells you where the dragon lady may be found prior to agreeing with him to go to finding her then move on back to Lonelytown speak to the halfling at the bar and he will then send you thru to totl upon completion of totl , finish up HOW and then the game automatically sends you back to kaldahar in the first of the iwd games and go on and finish up poquelion, it worked for me
