Slayer dies! Possible spoilers

In great frustration, I've morphed my Ranger into The Slayer to get rid of Balor in the Underdark. Fine--Slayer gibs Balor, who dies--but then my slayer/Ranger starts taking damage while remaining in the Slayer form and in spite of casting major healing on her/it the Slayer inevitably dies. What am I missing?

u hafta go back to natural form, or ull die for some reason. not sure what this is tho

After a certain time you start taking increasing damage so you wont stay in slayer form forever and make the game super easy.

Is there a way to "unSlayer" yourself, er, myself, er.. itself? Do you just have to stand around till it wears off? Thanks for the initial quick reply.
