Dragon Eye L5
Is there a mod (or, Heaven Forbid, a hex edit) that removes or turns off the maddening traps in this area? The dart traps are minor irritations, but the Disease and Confusion traps are major pains. Any help appreciated.

Re: Dragon Eye L5
I don't recall that there is any mod etc to turn off the traps. AFAIK, a thief works best.

Re: Dragon Eye L5
Indeed. A thief generally works best.
Second to that, is to draw the enemies to you, or send in summoned/buffed monsters to go take them out, since they don't trip traps. And then just walk over them at your leisure |

Re: Dragon Eye L5
If you're doing the game without a thief, a cleric can still help - there's a Detect Traps spell, iirc. It won't trip them, of course, but at least it'll let you avoid them.
You may even want to create yourself a little trap-map of the area, so you have a handy reference for avoiding them during fights.

Re: Dragon Eye L5
I thought the DE L5 traps couldn't be disarmed. If they CAN be detected and disarmed, how many points are needed in Find Traps??

Re: Dragon Eye L5
Probably 60%, I don't know for sure. If you're a little short, try using the luck spell on your thief or singing Tymora's Melody with a bard.
They take quite a while to detect, so go slow when you've got your find traps going.
