It seems some recording companies have finally taken a step in to the future that started 10 years ago. EMI announced that they will launch a download service. Pay to download the tracks you want and then burn your own CD. This strategy may very well be an efficient tool against p2p whereas lawsuits probably never will.

i was reading this debate.. and i dont want to make any comment regarding this since i personally dont download mp3 nor collect them. i just listen to what i like in the radio and get the album. when i get the album, i personally listen to every song of the cd the first time and program the songs i like. sometimes it is true that some songs tend to grow on you. and some songs (like eminem) which i liked when i got the cd's became the #1 hit several months later yet i was listening to those songs a couple of months before... wierd.
