Anyone know where I can get a "No-CD fix" for Diablo 2 that does not require that I have LoD installed? I see lots of fixes for the D2/LoD combo; but none for D2 alone.
Thanks! |

I saw one of these a while back. its only for version 1.01 though. dont know what version d2 w/o LoD goes up to.
Its on www.gamecopyworld.com go to the game index, go to diablo II, scroll way down. Id post a direct link, but gamecopyworld really dosent like people doing that.

andrewas,
Thank you! I had already been to gamecopyworld; but re-visited after reading your reply. I have 1.03; so the patches you spole of didn't apply directly, HOWEVER, I found what I needed under "previous patches." I can upgrade to 1.05 with an official Blizzard patch for D2, then use the NoCD fix for version 1.05. Thanks, again, for the help! |

As for all of the above mentioned things, you still wont be able to connect to B.net to play online because you need the latest 1.09 patch and a valid CDKey. In other words, you actually need to get offa ur lazy arse and go buy it like i finally had to do

Heh, heh, heh, you guys are great! Thanks for the advice.
I don't play b.net, so don't need to worry about that. And I DO own my own original. There are two reasons I want "noCD" play: 1.) My wife is so jealous of my time that if she finds my CD set, I'll have to go buy it again! and 2.) I sometimes have to try 5 or 6 times to get the game to run using my original play disc! Seeing as how you brought the subject up how does battlenet play compare to solo? What makes you like one over the other? |
