I just finished Anachronox . I bought it about 3 months ago, right after I had finished Throne of Bhaal and really enjoyed the game. However, I don't see myself playing Anachronox again anytime soon. I was pampered with the Baldur's Gate series (so non-linear, lots of options). I loved Anachronox, but I don't see the replay value now that I've finished it.
Anyway, to the point. Money is a little tight around our house right now and rather than go out and lay down another $30-50 on a new game, I thought maybe I'd see if someone here wanted to swap games. I figure $10 in postage saves me $20. Post suggestions here, but eventually will probably move to e-mail. ------------------ Most Subtle Official Straightman of the Laughing Hyenas -- Grammarian Brigade. Father Bronze,
It's good to see you again. How are the wife and kids? Chicago? So how did you like Anachronox? What sort of games are you looking for in a trade? ------------------ Founding Member of The Order of Royal Toads |

It's good to see you too .
Kids are doing great and my wife has decided to go back to school. Anachronox was great. If you can get past the blocky graphics (it uses the Quake II engine), it's a lot of fun. It's a sci-fi adventure where the main character is a detective who gets roped into saving the universe. I know it sounds a bit corny and it is. The game designers made it that way. Some of the characters will even make fun of each other, and themselves. I found it very entertaining. I downloaded the patch as soon as I installed the game, and really didn't have any difficulty running it. What would I trade for? Something fun. I know that sounds vague, but I'm just looking to get some more gaming finished by Christmas (figure someone will feed my PC Game addition). If you have any recommendations, I'm open. The games I have (in order of purchase) are as follows: - Age of Empires and Rise of Rome Expansion - Starcraft and Brood Wars - Baldur's Gate - Baldur's Gate 2 - Icewind Dale - Heart of Winter - Throne of Bhaal - Anachronox Oh, and I have to add that the rule in our house is no games with an M rating. The kids like to "help" me once in a while. Nothing like trying to switch weapons and adjust inventory with a 5 year old poking his finger at the screen saying "click on that one Dad. Yeah, that one, with the big sword." ------------------ Most Subtle Official Straightman of the Laughing Hyenas -- Grammarian Brigade. I hate bumping my own thread, but I posted late last night and it's been free-falling all day.
If anyone has suggestions on where else I might look for trading computer games, I'm open to ideas. ------------------ Most Subtle Official Straightman of the Laughing Hyenas -- Grammarian Brigade. I posted the games I have so that people could get an idea of the kinds of games that I play. But now that I think about it, I haven't played the original Baldur's Gate in over a year. I should probably keep Icewind Dale since I haven't downloaded Trials of the Luremaster yet. But I really do like BG2 and if The Darkest Day is ever released, I would like to try that. In the end, I have a bunch of games sitting on my shelf and if someone else enjoys them even half as much as I did, it was worth it to share the fun. ------------------ Most Subtle Official Straightman of the Laughing Hyenas -- Grammarian Brigade.
