... could you make me some spider-webs?

Or could someone in the forum tell me where to get it?

Best way I've found is to incinerate the spiders with a fireball. Seems to have a much higher chance of leaving you a web than hacking them up. Still a chancy thing, though. I've gotten 3 webs from a single battle, and gone 4-5 spider battles without getting a web.

Just ANY spider drops them? In all my time in say Trynton, I have never - EVER - gotten a spider web and I have fought countless hordes of them! (Especially up by the zoo area)!

::gives Vap a great big bear hug::

there there! it's okay. same with me. i have tried everything, even ::gasp:: camping!
hanging around in areas where i found lots of spiders, with hopes of drawing out the ones that make silk, hasn't done anything.

fireballing, electrocuting, hacking, spitting and swearing don't do it. i swear i am totally fixated on this now!

::big deep cleansing breaths, big deep cleansing breaths:: lol! i think we are doomed, V! doomed, i tells ya.

V***V

Did you see the new patch message?

-- Users of Ironworks/Wizardry 8 who have user names that begin with "V" will be unable to loot Spider Webs. We apologize for this inconvience and are hard at work to see what is causing this. Thank you for your extended patience --

AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gee, can't help you with the dreaded "V" patch...yikes! I'm thinking back, And it seems to me I had the best luck with the wolf spiders in the monastery.

I thought it was just an urban legend that there are spiderwebs out there. Wow Merkin, you actually got some.

Didn't have a clue what they were for, the first time, can't really take any credit (though NEVER mind having people in awe of me...if only I could convince my boss what a vital skill this is). Got spiderweb the 1st time in an early party, wandering the monastery. Had just aquired web and fireball spells, I was MUCH more impressed with taking down 9 spiders with 2 spells than I was with finding some web. Just stuck it in my pack and wandered off, clueless as usual.
