Are the Rapax considered demons? The first time I played through I kept Cierdan's weapons for the X2 damage. But on my recent games I've been getting rid of them. It seems like by the time you get to Rapax Rift, you've already got better equipment and Demonsbane/Demonsting aren't worth whatever advantage they might give. And if they don't do X2 dmg v. Rapax, which Flamestryke's site seems to imply, then they are worth even less. Is this some joke about the hopelessness of the Higardi brotherhood? Or do they really come in handy. It's been so long since the first time I played (when I actually kept them) that I can't remember.

Yeah, I thought they might be useful against the Rapax, but no. I guess the Rapax themselves are not demons, even tho Al-Sedexus is, and there are some demons you can come across on Ascension Peak. However, the stuff from the tomb isn't worth much for those fights. Dunno what the designers had in mind here, but I gave up on the sword and bow a long time back.

Well, lawful goodies would use them to smite al-sedexus. They were forged to do so, and against her they _are_ good weapons. A bow with double damage in the hands of a ranger....
Then again al-sedexus isn't really a threat usually when you reach Rapax territory. |

Wow! You must feel honored that they gave a nod to you. My first name is Ben, so when I found the Amulet of Nebdar, and remembered the Wizardry penchant for backwards names: Rad Ben! I was like, hey, thanks guys, but how could you be sure I would be playing--and why did you have to make me a girl?

Well, Ferro is just latin for Iron, so i doubt it's a rare name in crpgs. On the other hand, in elementary school (30some years ago) we had the assignment to make up names for cars, and i created a volkswagen lupo (didn't get a good grade). When Volkswagen _did_ create a Lupo (maybe 5 years ago?) I was almost ready to fine my elementary school teacher for selling my great ideas

Cierdans weapons are meant for Al Sedexus, and also take the newb standpoint. A beginning party isn't likely to find such good items at such an early time in the game. I've used those weapons for a good portion of the game before replacing them.
