Kakero- The bed and breakfast or B&B is common throughout britain. You stay in a room overnight (usually part of someone's home) and then you can have breakfast there in the morning, of course this has to be paid for!

Over here there is a ryokan that have these Bed n Breakfast signboard posted outside. I was wondering where the owner got such idea. I guess by your explaination the owner must have been to Britain and got the idea there.
