Anyone whose either German or fluent in German could you please correct this (and help out with the lst paragraph please) for me please, ive been away from school all week and havnt had a teacher around. thanks very very very very very much:


Ich spiele gern Fussball und kegeln und Ich finde joggen spitze und Ich jogge Viel aber mein lieblingsfreitzeitbeschäftigung ist Rugby weil anspruchsvoll ist und es Spass macht. Ich finde Rugby härte und klasse und ich findet es nűtzlich weil es mich fit macht und ist schnell und erhebend.

Ich spiele Rugby seit 4 Jahre und Ich habe angefangen Rugby zu spielen als ich 11 jahre alt war weil mein eltere Bruder es gespeilt hat. Ich spiele Rugby zweimal pro woche am abends.

Ich spiele Rugby mit meinen Freundes auf dem Strand und Ich spiele fűr meiner Schule Rugby team auf dem Rugby platz. Ich habe fűr mein ortsansässig team gespielt aber es gab nicht genug Spieler fűr an Pendant.

Ich mőchte fűr Cornwall spielen und ich werde fűr einen Klub spielen wenn ich mein Schule verlasse.

Vor 2 Jahre Ich habe fűr meiner Schule im dass ‘County Cup’ gespielt und wir haben gewonnen. Wir haben gesiegt und ich habe eine Medaille gewonnen. Es war ein fantastisch tag.

Ich spiele gern Rugby weil es ist anders und einen kontakt sport ist.

Ich würde Rugby jedem empfehlen, weil es einfach zu spielen ist und man sehr wenig Ausrüstung außer einem Ball benötigt. Jedermann, egal welcher Größe, kann es spielen und ein Match (Spiel) kann sehr spannend sein.

* Kegeln is a sport only similar to Bowling as it only uses 9 pins so I would recommend to write Bowling which is perfectly okay in German
** Not sure what you wanted to say: hart = hard, härter = harder
*** Not wrong but not really suited here either
**** same for that - uplifting is (though existent) not a common word in German
***** In the evening = am Abend OR abends
? ? I'm not sure what you wanted to say here

Overall it's a nice little text but it limps a bit as German and English are not only different in grammar but also in style.
Little teacher recommendation: Stay careful with upper and lower cases. Keep in mind that "Ich" is not always written uppercase only at the beginning of the sentence. And remember that corresponding words such as "school team" are written together in German: "Schulteam"

First things first:

Ich findet: escaped my eye - It's of course "Ich finde" German "t" is like English "s" used for third person. So: finde = find, findet = finds

**i meant 'I find rugby challenging' - challenging = herausfordernd (you could say only "fordernd" in that text)
*** again german text bookswritten by english people say klasse means very good (bloody text book writers, arghhh' - klasse is mostly used in (Northern) Germany actually but is substituted by English words like "cool" nowadays. To use a German word I would suggest "spitze" or "genial" (genius). Needless to say that "very good" = "sehr gut" is not a very sophisticated word to use.

An online German<->English dictionary from the University of Munich which I have found to be rather accurate in most terms.

BTW which grade are you?

The text is not too sophisticated but among the best work I've seen from English and American students of the German language. I remember visiting a Chicago high school and marveling at the amount of words students (and teachers) did NOT know.

thanks mate! im in yr 10 which i think, THINK, is the 10th grade but im not sure, im one year off graduating.
