My good god. Anyone seen the new priest talent trees?
"The bubbling and dripping of faces, Can be heard now in all sorts of places, Where the shaman once ruled They are now simply tools, With the shadow priests taking their places!"

The rogues have already decided to target mages in BGs after the priest patch.
Thank God I don't PVP, I don't need to get my ass handed to me by priest as well.

Lovely. Now there will be even more stupid shadow priests running around ruining groups. Priests are healers -- Holy is where it's at for them. There are always too few priests it seems, and of those it seems we can never be 100% successful and beating them into submission about the shadow/holy thing.
They're gonna be good, but I have a feeling they'll still turn tail and run when they see my little felpuppy coming at them. |

Thank God my guild has two Holy-spec 60 priests, and two in the 50-60 bracket.
All we're going to see is Shadowform

Shadow wasn't really touched (it was buffed a little). It was Holy and Disc. that was changed mostly. Priests can be both healers and damagers. And they do it amazingly. Their heals are very potent even in the 'raw' form. Now with these new trees, a priest can be mostly shadow and still gain the healing abilities of priests before 1.10. Any priest who goes disc/holy after 1.10 is a healing force unmacthed.

What are you all talking about? The shadow tree was just mixed around a bit, and improved vamp. embrace was added. The main changes took place in the holy and discipline tree, where I think many people will now spec into. If you read the official post by Eyonix on the WoW official forums, you'll see that greater heal is being reduced to a 3 sec cast (2.5 with talents), PW:S was reduced to a 15 second weakened soul, and Holy Nova had it's cooldown removed to make it like arcane explosion.
Personally, I'm going to go 0-20-31 for a nice soloing build that can heal effectively in pre-raid instances and can holy nova Priests are much, much better now, but it's mainly due to non-shadow changes. |
